THE SCHOOLHOUSE
Sleeps five +. Situated on high ground with wide views to the mainland and a birds-eye view of any action in the bay Ground Floor: large kitchen with gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, dining area, oil-fired Raeburn. ......£450 There is an option on additional accommodation in the cabin behind the Schoolhouse. It consists of two rooms each with a pair of bunks, plus a toilet and wash hand basin. The cost of the cabin is £10 per night per room. Tanera once had a thriving fishing/crofting community, and the school catered for up to thirty children. With its commanding views, truancy should not have been a problem! |

| THE FARMHOUSE
Sleeps six +. Overlooking the bay with views to the hills on the mainland. .....£440 There is an option on additional accommodation in the cabin behind the Farmhouse. It consists of two rooms each with a pair of bunks, plus a toilet and wash hand basin. There are signs of past grazing activity scattered over the island - shielings, lazy beds, peat diggings. More recently there has been much tree planting alongside the regeneration of native species. Please mind where you walk: some of them are still rather small. |

1) Electricity and water are inlcuded in the hire. Coal for fires is available - no charge for the first bag. 2) Bedlinen and tea towels are provided, but not towels. 3) Dogs: We charge £10 per dog per week. Please keep them under control at all times. 4) Groceries are available locally - you can place an order ready for your arrival, details on request. 5) Telephone - there is a BT payphone outside the Post Office. Not all mobiles work here! 6) At each end of your stay we will ferry you in our boat 'Patricia'. Further trips to the mainland can be made at our mutual convenience. We make a small charge for non-routine crossings. 7) Payment - a 50% deposit will secure your booking, the balance being due 28 days before the start of your holiday. In the event of cancellation, if a re-let is obtained, we can refund your deposit. |
