Explore the wildlife of the Summer Isles

In the company of experienced, enthusiastic local ecologist Viv Halcrow, we will explore on foot and by boat to discover the range of plants and animals on and around Tanera Mòr – the largest of the Summer Isles.

We will learn how different species cope with island conditions, look in detail at the variety of habitats including the fascinating intertidal zone (neither land nor sea) and discuss management issues affecting our environment today.

After all this fresh air we will be rewarded with home cooking from the Island's residents, enjoy varied evening entertainment, and relax in cosy Island cottages.

Dates: 8th – 10th October 2010 (Friday evening – Sunday evening) - longer stays are welcome.
